WE FOCUS ON REAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH JESUS CHRIST AND EACH OTHER

Come and Gather, Grow and Glorify Jesus Christ with us.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

What's the difference between Lutherans and other Christians?

As Lutherans, we emphasize that we are saved by grace alone, through faith in Christ alone, meaning that our entire salvation is God’s work from beginning to end. Our salvation rests completely on what God has done for us. Jesus accomplished our redemption through His perfect life, innocent death, and glorious resurrection. The Holy Spirit then brings us to faith through the Gospel, calling and converting us through the means of grace—God’s Word and Sacraments. And the same Spirit continues to strengthen and preserve us in faith through those means of grace throughout our lives.

In other words, from Christ’s saving work on the cross to the Spirit’s work of creating, strengthening, and preserving faith, our salvation is entirely God’s gracious work.

What are worship services like?

At the heart of our worship is the recognition that God comes to us with His gifts. Through the proclamation of His Word, the reading of Scripture, and the assurance of forgiveness, God speaks His grace and promises to us. We respond to His gifts with confession of faith, praise, prayer, and thanksgiving. In this way, our worship reflects not so much what we do for God, but what God has done—and continues to do—for us. We are grateful for our musicians and singers, who may lead us in everything from a traditional hymn to a modern worship song, within the same service. Our worship style is designed to encourage everyone to participate—whether through congregational singing and speaking, prayer and praise, or simply taking a moment to listen, reflect, and soak it all in. Whether traditional or contemporary, our desire is the same: to receive God’s gifts with grateful hearts and respond with joyful praise.

Will I just be another number?

A priority for Faith Lutheran is to offer personal, individualized pastoral care. Our mission is to connect YOU to Jesus and one another. You are a special creation of God, and we will minister to you as such. You are always encouraged to reach out to Pastor Koelpin if you have questions. When you become a member of Faith, you’ll be connected with one of our fellowship groups. As our church grows, these groups ensure you always feel rooted in your church community.

What is a mission church?

Faith Lutheran is a mission church, also called a church plant. Many years ago folks in East Texas identified the need for a Biblical church in the Tyler area. A group of outreach-oriented individuals from that group started our church in 2016. We’re currently in the process of building it from the ground up — figuratively and literally — as God blesses us with the gifts to do so. For now, this means we operate out of a rented facility. Being a mission church also means that we’re all-in on outreach: sharing the good news of the gospel with our friends and neighbors.

Are you thinking about finding a new church home? If you’re looking for a family-friendly, community-centered church that’s focused on connection to Jesus and growth in the truth of God’s Word, you might consider visiting Faith Lutheran.
